A dignified old estate from the 14th century, nestled into a truly stunning landscape with views onto the surrounding hills and snow-capped Pyrenees. The masía was completely renovated recently, resulting in a perfect balance between modern comfort and traditional details, such as the metre-thick stone walls that recall the house's long history. Here you will find absolute tranquillity and relaxation amidst all imaginable comfort - and all this just a few kilometres from the most beautiful spots along the Costa Brava.
The entrance leads into a living room with sofas, an open fireplace and TV - a quiet place to kick back and enjoy a good book. Adjoining this room is a spacious living and dining room, followed by the kitchen. The former has more sofas, TV, a long dining table and a series of large, arched windows with a breathtaking view onto the landscape. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffeemaker, toaster, electric kettle, microwave, BBQ/grill and dishwasher. There is another sitting room on the first floor that overlooks the surroundings. This floor also contains 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, 4 of which are en-suite. 3 of the bedrooms have double beds and 2 have twin beds. All of the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated; even the bathrooms feature lots of cute, original details (4 of the bathrooms have showers, 1 has a tub). A rather steep staircase leads to a utility room with a washing machine and dryer and out to a terrace with a magnificent view.
The enormous terrace with a built-in brick BBQ/grill gives way to the swimming pool (10 x 5m), which features a Roman staircase for easy access. The pool is surrounded by lots of garden furniture and deck chairs. The house and its surroundings are not particularly suitable for small children (a staircase without a railing) - please contact us for more information.
The landscape around the house is crisscrossed by 2,5km of country paths, ideal for taking long walks in nature. Furthermore, the Fluvià River, where bathing and fishing is permitted, is just 100m from the house.

This property is just 250m from the tiny, picturesque village of Canelles. In addition to several old stone houses, this hamlet has a beautiful Romanesque church, but no shops. The closest place with a shop and restaurant is Navata at a distance of 4km. Furthermore, Figueres - home to the famous Dalí Museum - is just 10km from the house, and here you will find all necessary services and amenities.
The surroundings are full of interesting places to visit, including the provincial capital Girona (28 km), Banyoles (18 km), the charming town of Besalú (18 km) and Olot (36 km). The most beautiful beaches are just 30km away - Roses, Ampuriabrava, L'Escala etc. The Torremirona golf course is also in Navata (4,5 km). The only conceivable problem you might encounter is that you feel so at home here, you'll never want to get out of the house...
